Man dies after being hit by a car in Rome

MANCHESTER, Italy — A man died after being struck by a vehicle in Rome, according to police.

The man, identified as 37-year-old Bruno Rota, was found unconscious with serious injuries Saturday morning, police said in a statement.

Rota was pronounced dead at the scene, and the car, which police said was a silver Renault Clio, was towed from the scene.

The driver of the car was not injured in the incident.

The National Police Agency said it is investigating the accident.
